A Polícia Federal, com o apoio da Polícia Rodoviária Federal e da Polícia Militar de Santa Catarina, realiza hoje (15/12), a partir das 10 horas, na Usina de Cogeração da Engie em Lages/SC, a maior incineração de drogas já realizada no Estado de Santa Catarina.

Serão incinerados, com a devida autorização judicial, um total de cerca de 66,9 toneladas de entorpecentes, dos quais 61,5 t de maconha e 5,4 t de cocaína, aproximadamente.

Para o transporte da droga foram utilizadas três carretas, as quais foram conduzidas da região metropolitana de Florianópolis a Lages mediante escolta de elevado número de policiais, garantindo a correta destinação das substâncias apreendidas e a segurança de todos os envolvidos.

O montante de drogas incinerado nesta data é resultado de apreensões realizadas pelas unidades da Polícia Federal em Santa Catarina ao longo de 2021, muitas das quais com apoio da Polícia Rodoviária Federal, Polícia Militar de Santa Catarina e Receita Federal do Brasil, especialmente aquelas efetivadas nos portos do Estado.
