Um bombeiro foi atingido por um raio próximo às 11h05 em Guaratuba, no Paraná. Identificado como Rodrigo Kuniski, o bombeiro estava em uma casinha guarda-vidas no balneário de Coroados, em Guaratuba, quando um raio o atingiu.

O outro bombeiro que estava junto teve apenas ferimentos leves. Os dois militares estaduais atingidos foram rapidamente atendidos por equipes terrestres do Corpo de Bombeiros e pela equipe médica do helicóptero Falcão 03 do BPMOA, sendo um deles transportado ao Hospital Regional do Litoral (HRL) e o outro ao Pronto Socorro de Guaratuba. Nenhum banhista foi atingido.
